Mom turns 50! (I'm sure she'd want all of you to know)

Happy Birthday, Mama-cita! You don't look a day over 28! Thanks for being the mom that all the kids wanted to hang out with when I was in high school. Although I may have been permanently damaged by you constantly performing your "Up Town Girls" dance routine (from your Jazz Girl days) in front of all my friends, I have forgiven you and found peace!

We love you and hope your day was spectacular. I am sorry that for your big 5-0, you had to send off your just-got-home-from-a-mission-son to college--just know that I would have never done that to you on your birthday. Remember, I didn't earn the "favorite child award" for nothing.

Well, Happy Birthday to the best looking grandma around!

"Is there a bone in this chicken?"

Nope...just a metal blade! Sorry Tyson, we've always enjoyed your chicken, but it's time to call it quits!

We love the first day of school!

The first day of school. What a fun day! Tanner was slightly nervous, but had a great day. He told me, "Mom, I was really glad you showed me where the library was last week. I was the line leader to today and I knew right where it was. I was happy I was prepared." When Jake asked him if he made any new friends, he answered, "Of course, Dad. You gave me a blessing last night that I would make friends and Jesus put power in me to do it."

Logan was ecstatic to go to school again. We are really excited about his teacher (who is also implanted). I was disappointed with the program at first (click here), but I think it' going to be a good thing for Logan over all.

Chase and I had a fun day with just the two of us. We ran errands and went out to lunch. It was fun having him all to myself.

Can't get enough of Disney!

We celebrated our last weekend before school started--and our anniversary--by using our season passes (thanks G-pa and G-ma Cragun for an awesome graduation present) and visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Be Prepared!

When the rest of the city began freaking out about Fay, we decided we would stock up on the necessities...just in case. A lot of the grocery stores have even run out of milk, bottled water and batteries! It has been pretty calm, so far, but the county decided it might not stay that way and canceled schools today and tomorrow. So this is how we spent our day...

Then Dad came home early and joined the fun...

We wish we could be there to greet you off the plane. We are thinking of you today. Congratulations for a job well done. We love you!

8 Years!

Knowing what I know now, I'd still marry you all over again. Thanks for always making things interesting! I love you...
