Dear (intentional or accidental) thief:

I have been missing my scriptures since June 22, 2008. It was my second Sunday in the new ward and I left my scriptures under my chair in the Relief Society room because I was distracted by a screaming child. I have looked in the lost and found every Sunday since then, only to be disappointed. I don't believe you could mistake them for yours, my name is clearly engraved on the front cover.

I love these scriptures. They were given to me by my husband the night before we got married and he inscripted them with beautiful words inside the front cover. They were the first set of scriptures I had received since my original set received at my baptism when I was 8 years old. I have refused to buy a new set because I have to believe that whoever has them originally took then with the intent of returning them to me, but instead it slips their mind each week and they sit on a bookshelf collecting dust.

Please bring them back this week. They have been marked up and include thoughts of mine as I entered that new chapter in my life as wife and mother...I want to share them with my grandchildren one day.

Thank you,

Celeste

Fun with "Dr. Daddy"

Last weekend Jake brought us into his clinic to do a much needed cleaning on the boys. Tanner and Logan enjoyed it and thought Dad's tools were cool...Chase however did not share the same excitement. As you can see, he wanted nothing to do with even sitting in the chair!
Thanks, Dr. Daddy!

It's ME!

I was searching through The John Tracy Clinic's website and came across this video of me being interviewed about Logan's story and the clinic, when we lived in LA. If you can get past the fact that I am speaking a million words a minute, it's fun to watch...

Chase's B-day recap...

Overheard a couple of weeks ago while the boys were playing in their room:

Tanner: Chase, I know your birthday is coming up and I feel bad telling you this, but you can't have a party this year because you don't really have any friends here in Florida. But don't worry, I'm sure mom will make you a cake or something and you'll probably get to wear the "Birthday Boy" badge on your shirt.

Tanner was right. We didn't have a big party this year, like last year, but we did go to dinner as a family and hooked Chase up with some sweet presents...

His favorite, Elmo...
A pack of size 6 diapers...

Mickey Mouse apple chips...
A new basketball hoop...
We celebrated with dinner at On the Border. Chase had his favorite--cheese quesadilla, fries and milk...

This was my (poor) attempt at trying to get a 2 year picture of Chasers...

Out of about 30 pictures, this one was the best...but I love it!

Update: Our little Chase has become better with his anger issues. Since moving into his "big boy bed" he seems to be less stressed and more happy. We still have a tantrum now and again, but we see more laughing than screaming and crying these days!

November 4, 2008

My husband's hard work taxed ridiculously high, my favorite stores raising prices (or going out of business), more people on welfare for longer periods of time ...
Hooray for change!

Tanner's two cents...

Tanner: Mom, we had a pretend election today in school where we got to vote for the next President. I wanted to vote for President Monson, but that wasn't a choice.

Mom: (after explaining that Monson is the President of our church, not the U.S.) Who were your choices?

Tanner: 'Back' Obama and McCain.

Mom: Who did you vote for?

Tanner: I voted for the McCain guy?

Mom: Why did you choose him?

Tanner: Because he is the good one.

Mom: Who told you that?

Tanner: I saw it on TV. McCain just looks nicer and plus they said that 'Back' Obama wants us to give him our money. That's not fair, he should get his own money.

I guess television ad campaigns do work...

"Can you believe that there are people out there who are not registered to vote? I think we should make sure we have all their names and put them on a list, then if anything bad happens, they get it first. Then a big flu outbreak, we're all getting the flu shots...you don't get one. In fact, we gonna give you extra flu."
