When the rest of the city began freaking out about Fay, we decided we would stock up on the necessities...just in case. A lot of the grocery stores have even run out of milk, bottled water and batteries! It has been pretty calm, so far, but the county decided it might not stay that way and canceled schools today and tomorrow. So this is how we spent our day...
Then Dad came home early and joined the fun...

Looks like fun! I used to just LOVE the days school was cancelled because of flooding and hurricanes. I mean, obviously there are more fun things to do than school!
Just checking in to see how your doing with the crazy weather your having there. I'm glad to see you are prepared and taking advantage of a day off!
I just heard on the radio this morning that the storm was centerd on Gainesville right now! It sounds like a ton of rain! It's nice you don't have to go out in it for the kids school and hopefully they wil give Jake a break as well. Looks like you are well prepared. Stay safe.
