Winnie Dog!

Grandma Kelli lost her favorite friend this week, her Winnie dog. Winnie had been sick for a while and we knew her time was coming. We didn't get to see much of her, but it was always the boys favorite thing about Grandma's house. When we told Tanner how sad Grandma was, he wanted to make her happy. We had a family night and the boys made pictures for Grandma (and Logan made her a paper airplane...sorry G-Ma, he insisted!)

Beware of the "One Bite Bandit"...

He takes one bite and then goes for another. I sometimes find them in random places around the house. I know what you're thinking, "Where is his mother?" I have tried hiding the apples, placing them higher up on the shelf and putting them in the back of the fridge. He still seems to find them...I think he may have an accomplice!

I'm officially out of the running for "Mom of the Year"

The boys need friends! I think spending all day, every day with each other has finally drove them crazy. For the past week they have been fighting over everything and today I had had enough. So after completely destroying their rooms this morning, the perfect punishment was to lock them in the rooms until they were clean! Tanner said to me, "Mom, I think this is the meanest thing you have ever done to us. We are not very happy with you."

4:21 pm...

6:39 pm--finally finished ...

The reward for not killing each other during those two hours, was a soccer night and popcicles with Dad...

Logan--

We have been so proud of Logan's speech progression. A lot of his progress has been just being able to understand speech, which has sometimes been more difficult then having him mimic speech.

Visiting Dad...

Yesterday we got a chance to go see dad at work. Tanner is always asking to see dad "work on teeth", so he was excited. Jake let the boys look in his microscope when we first got there...from then on Logan was really freaked out by something, but couldn't quite tell us what it was (you can see from the picture below that he was even hesitant to go back in the operatory just to take a picture--he's holding on for dear life). I'm guessing it was from the set of teeth sitting there without a person attached!

CAN NO ONE IN THIS HOUSE READ!!

I guess it's just one of those days...

Wednesday, July 16, 2008

I was shocked and angry when I read this, especially since it is someone we know. The little boy, Jose, was Logan's best friend while he attended the John Tracy Clinic in LA. It breaks my heart.

Cousin Fun!

Jake's brother, Sean and his wife, Tia--and their three kids were our first visitors here in Florida. It was fun to have them here all the way from Seattle. We spent three days at DisneyWorld (two without the husbands...not recommended) and although we about melted, we had a blast.

On the Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom...

Another game of Tag...

Here is a totally different game of tag.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together or Jake. It doesn't matter if you knew us a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses.

Our Freedom Filled Weekend!

Fireworks at U of F!

We started our weekend off with a fun firework show in a park on the University of Florida campus with some new friends, on Thursday night.

I love this picture...you can see Logan expressing how loud the fireworks were--he didn't even know that fireworks made noise last year! Priceless!
