We will never forget...

It is 8:46 am right now, the exact time, seven years ago, that the first plane hit the north tower of the World Trade Center. I was in the car on my way to work when the radio DJ had told us that the first tower had been hit. I was a dental assistant in Orem, Utah and was watching the television live at work when the second plane hit the south tower. I was astonished at what I had just witnessed and could hardly believe that my eyes had really seen it. I was 2 months pregnant with Tanner when this occurred. I remember feeling a sense of fear for this unborn child. I called Jake at school and told him what had happened, he said "Are you sure they think it is intentional? This could be terrorists!" We continued to work that day and kept the televisions and radio on all day, we had a lot of cancellations that day and I kept hoping we would be sent home early, I really wanted to be with Jake.

President Bush declared today as Patriot Day. We've been requested to have moments of silence at the following times:

8:46 am- first plane hit North Tower
9:02 am- second plane hit South Tower
9:37 am- third plane hit Pentagon
9:59 am- South Tower collapsed
10:03 am- fourth plane crashed near Shanksville, PA
10:28 am- North Tower collapsed

Celeste, your blog is always so thoughtful and heart-felt. I never know quite what to say, but I want you to know how much I appreciate all of your posts. You are amazing! How do your boys like those frogs? Kimball and Joel love to frog hunt in the evenings. Good times!
