We moved...

We moved, yet again! This is our 10th move in 9 years...insane! We only moved about a mile away. The house is a little bit smaller, but nicer--and a lot cheaper!
I was on the west coast for about 6 weeks, so I did all the packing and Jake did all the moving! He even had the entire house unpacked when we arrived home...what a super husband!
If you need our new address, email me for it.

Our first week in Gator Land

The house!

We are really enjoying our first week in Gainesville. The people are very friendly, the traffic isn't bad and even Tanner noticed, "there are so many green trees everywhere we go." We are getting settled in are ready for life to get back to normal. Being in a house has been a breath a fresh air. After being in a apartment for 8 years with three busy boys, we were ready for more space. The boys are still waiting to see a real gator and were disappointed that they aren't just walking around everywhere. We hear there are a few floating around on a small lake on U of F's campus that we are going to go check out! He are some pictures of our first week...

Our first meal in the new house!
The back yard!

My new table! (still awaiting two more chairs)

A real ice-cream man...it reminds me of when I was a kid! My kids thought it was a brilliant idea to have a man drive around the neighborhood in a van filled with ice cream! He comes at different times each day, so it's fun to anticipate when we'll hear the "ice cream music" (as Tanner calls it)

Doing laundry right in our house, no more laundromats...what a concept!
We saw this sign near the church. We thought "yea right" until we almost hit a turtle crossing the road on our way home!
This is the kind of road kill we get here...armadillos!

Thank you to Grandma Kelli and Jake's sister, Jessica for all your much needed help. They helped us tie up loose ends after the movers came and also drove with us across the country. Jessica actually stayed with us in Gainesville for almost a week after we arrived to help with settling in and watching the boys. THANK YOU SO MUCH, we couldn't have done it without you!!

Things I am going to miss about LA...

1 (in no particular order):

*How interactive the audience is during a movie, at the theater. I love how they hoot and holler, along with their applause, at the end...if they liked it.
