4 baskets...

last year at this time I was about 2 months pregnant with Elizabeth.  i needed new Easter baskets for the boys, so i bought an extra one--one for her for the following year.  i forgotten i had done this until i got out the Easter decorations and saw her yellow basket on the bottom of the pile.  every once in a while things like this happen...a slight, but hurtful reminder that she left us too soon.
I am grateful for this holiday where we get to celebrate the resurrection of Christ.  i am grateful for the Resurrection and the promise that we too, will one day be resurrected and joined together as a family.

tanner came to me today and reminded me of all the ways that this is beneficial to our family,"mom, i can't wait 'till we are all made perfect again.  i mean, think about it, we have a lot of things in our family that need to be fixed.
"first, there is logan's ears.  it will be so nice when his ears are perfect and he we don't have to make sure he doesn't lose his implants.
"then, chase's belly scar.  that scar is the biggest scar i've ever seen.  i hope he isn't embarrassed about it when he is a teenager.  he will be so surprised when he is made perfect and it isn't there anymore.
and last, i can't wait to meet Elizabeth when we are all resurrected.  it makes me cry when i think of her sometimes.  i hope she has friends in heaven.  i bet she misses us like we miss her."

Where do you come up with this stuff? You are great. No wonder why I loved hanging out with you in high school.

Your Tanner is such a sweet kid, sometimes I wonder if kids are sent here to teach us more than us them . . . and how cute are the bunny tracks, might have to borrow that one :)
