Rachel, from the TV show Signing Time (http://www.signingtime.com/), came to the LA Baby Expo a few weeks ago. My sister was in town so we took Logan and her son to go check out the show. Logan thought it was so cool to see her and kept on asking where "Hopkins the Frog" was. Rachel was very sweet with Logan while he clammed up and got embarrassed!

Mason has watched the show here and there and I have a question - why does she wear the 'colored bandaids' on her fingers? Does it make it easier to see what she's signing? I figured you would know.

That is exactly why. She says this is so that the very young children would have an additional visual element to distinguish between signs, especially as the signs get more complicated. The colored fingers help define the fine motor movements.
Tayten loves Signing Time. Rachel has taught him more than his own mother has, but only because she is much more fun :) How exciting to actually meet her!
