dinner with the family...

note:  the 9 year old was grounded, hence the reason for not seeing him in the "birthday dinner" pics. :)

we love birthdays!

from november through january, we have a lot of birthdays!  C started off the fun by turning 5 this past week.  the kid absolutely adores legos, so having a lego themed party was a no-brainer.

i found all the cute printables on this great site...

gift bags for the guests...

 the decorations/treats...

t

 lego chocolates...

dad helped with the fun plates...

when the kids arrived they colored lego coloring sheets...

next we gave all the guests their own lego iron on shirt.  i just used the "lego cupcake toppers" and enlarged them, then printed them on iron-on paper...
then we played the lego tower challenge.  each team had to see who could build the highest lego tower in 5 minutes...

C received a "lego star-wars" movie for his birthday.  it was a short, 22 minute movie and the kids just loved it...

just resting his eyes during the movie...

we then had all the guests decorate a foam picture frame.  we took a picture of C with each of his friends, that we will print off put in the frame and give to them later...

sleepy-head woke up just in time for the end of the party...

then it was present and cupcake time...

we love C!  he sure keeps us on our toes and has taught me patience more than any of my other children! :)  he keeps us laughing and is a fun addition to the cragun brothers.  happy birthday to our 5 year old!

our spooky celebrations...

this year's fall crafts..

pumpkin decorating/carving...

gifts for the preschooler's class...

fun halloween lunches...

fun gifts for teachers, visiting teachers, bus drivers and anyone else deserving...

brains in a jar (idea and printouts found here)

this was a little surprise i sent my sister in the mail.  she is absolutely terrified of snakes, so i, of course thought this would be hilarious.  she was not so pleased...

some random halloween fun...

i drove through the "pick up" lane at my 4th grader's school looking like this.  totally embarrassed him which made it totally worth it...

C's preschool costume parade/ school party...

his carpool buddy, macie...

we had the cousins over for a little halloween dinner...

trick or treating...

a little "trip and fall" during the night.  not sure if the cousins are trying to help him up, or just nab some of the spilled candy...

on our way to the cousins' neighborhood to fill up our bags...

my zebra and the gorilla...

T wanted to "pick his own" costume for trick or treating, so i excused him from the family costume and he chose this...

the zookeeper and her "zoo"...

and the cage cleaner...

passing out the goods...

happy november everyone!
